Three girls who have been brought down a path where they have to fight, and are barred from having a normal life... Multiple times in the show each of them, especially Saki, mention how they wish to have a "normal" youth. Three girls who just want to have fun.

I had to include a song by Yoko Minamino, Saki's actress. And I feel this song encapsulates how each of the girls make each other stronger people as their bonds develop through the course of the show.

Yes, Another song by Yoko Minamino! But they used a few songs of hers for SD II, to great effect. So I feel this also encapsulates the sadness each of the girls carried, but then they met each other. Even if under circumstances where together they must fight corruption and forgo the life of normal high school girls.
